Mona Shatry is a photographer, creative director, and visionary multidisciplinary artist with German-Arab roots. Born in Kenya and influenced by her early years on a farm, she developed a profound connection to visual storytelling and an artistic perspective. These formative experiences continue to shape her approach, which blends photography and design. After earning a degree in Design Management, Shatry specialized in fashion, portrait, and documentary photography, merging aesthetic clarity with a deep connection to human narratives. Her acclaimed project, About Beauty, examines the diverse dimensions of beauty, challenging societal norms. Through intimate portraits of women across different ages and cultural backgrounds, she unveils personal stories that highlight beauty as an expression of individuality and inner strength. This project has been exhibited internationally, including at Image Nation in Paris and New York. Beyond her individual work, she is also deeply committed to fostering collaboration within the creative community. By partnering with artists across disciplines, she emphasizes the importance of diverse perspectives and creates space for innovative and inclusive projects. Since 2024, she has been the volunteer leader of the Female Photo Club Munich.
