Anne Barth is a photographer based in Berlin. After studying mineralogy, she turned to photography out of a deep interest in personal and political narratives. She studied at the Fotoakademie-Köln and continued her training at the Ostkreuzschule in Berlin.

Her work explores themes such as memory, migration, and identity, combining conceptual approaches with a poetic visual language. In addition to portrait and documentary photography, she creates short films, posters, and stage projections, and works as an action photographer documenting protests and political movements.

Her multimedia project VSBL, which gives a face to displaced individuals beyond the anonymity of statistics, has been exhibited internationally, as has a collaborative multimedia work exploring proximity and distance during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2023, her personal series FOG, dealing with her father's Alzheimer’s disease, was shown during EMOP Berlin; in 2024, she was honoured by Desideria for this work.

Anne’s artistic practice has been supported by various grants and awards and presented in Berlin, Cologne, Paris, and other cities. She lives and works in Berlin and North Rhine-Westphalia.
