CHINA HOPSON
(*1987) ist eine Fotografin und lebt in Hannover.
Nach ihrer Ausbildung in einem Portraitstudio entschied sich China vom Süden in den Norden Deutschlands zu ziehen um Fotojournalismus und Dokumentarfotografie an der Hochschule Hannover zu studieren. Mit einem ruhigen und einfühlsamen Blick erkundet sie die Gesellschaft, Identität und Zusammenhalt. Darüber hinaus beschäftigt sie die Schwarze Community sowie die USA.

Originally trained in a portrait studio, she later moved from the south to the north of Germany to study Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hannover.
With a calm and intuitive perspective, her work explores themes of society, identity, and human connection. She is particularly drawn to stories within the Black community and maintains a strong connection to the United States.
